The Parisian Dream

This French modern farmhouse home in Kolkata for a newly married couple who wanted a warm, elegant, and functional space to begin their life together. We blended soft mouldings, shaker cabinetry, vintage inspired details, a faux fireplace and a calm white-blue-brown palette to bring in classic French charm while maintaining a fresh, modern feel. A key design decision is the four-side false ceiling instead of a central dropped panel, this perimeter design frames the room softly, hides wiring and lighting and creates an illusion of greater ceiling height by keeping the centre plane untouched and visually lifted. Every element, from the floral alcoves and marble counters to the cozy faux fireplace, striped upholstery, and brass lighting, was thoughtfully selected to create a home that feels refined, welcoming, and effortlessly practical for their new journey.
